VR stays for Virtual Reality

 

Virtual reality is understood as an accessib virtual room through computers.

This approach is older than the technologies that make it possible today.

 

In the film, "The Loanmower Man" was clearly the ancient fixture for VR.

However, at this time the technical implementation was still in children's shoes.

Today data gloves and stereoscopic glasses have become reality.

Large companies are about to release mass-produced devices.

 

Those devices can recognize objects by their position and orientation in the room and show them
on the VR glasses almost latency-free.

This creates the impression as if you where yourself in this virtual space.

 

A few years ago 3D glasses were still unpayable but after 2015 such hardware came on the market and became

affordable for normal consumers.
